Community Forums on the Future of the CSO

The College of Charleston, Coastal Community Foundation and the Charleston Regional Alliance for the Arts are hosting several public forums on the future of Symphonic Music in Charleston.  As many of you may know, the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, on the verge of beginning its 75th Season, is in jeopardy.  The CSO suspended the rest of their 2010 season in order to regroup and come back stronger.  But it looks like that’s been more difficult than anticipated.

The first forum will take place tomorrow morning, June 16, at CofC’s Stern Center, 9 am to 12 noon.  There will also be forums held in the Seabrook/Kiawah area on June  21st, Daniel Island/Mt Pleasant area on June 22nd, and an evening session on June 22nd, downtown-ish, location to be determined.  Register here for the forums.
