It’s only been 4 short weeks since the finale of the very addictive Project Runway with Charleston Fashion Week finalist Carol Hannah Whitfield, and she, among eight others, will debut their spring collections in CFW 2010 Emerging Designers Competition.
The Emerging Designers chosen to début their collections on the opening night of Charleston Fashion Week include Barbara Beach, Julia Faye Davison, Chelsie Ravenell, Anna Lassiter and Jamie Lin Snider from South Carolina, Larika Page from Georgia, Hannalei Taylor from North Carolina, and Uriel Zamora from Florida. Carol Hannah Whitfield will début her collection during the Bridal Couture Show.
Sponsored by the Art Institute of Charleston, the event will be taking place this March. Rick Jerue, President of the Art Institute of Charleston adds, “We are thrilled to have an opportunity to sponsor the Charleston Fashion Week Emerging Designer Competition: Southeast. As a leader in fashion education, we feel this partnership is a perfect fit. The competition supports our goals to nurture talent in the southeast and foreshadows the impact these young designers have on the fashion industry at large.”
