Annual Autumn Leaves Fundraiser a success!

The Autumn Leaves Festival kicked off another successful fundraiser event at the beginning of this October… if you weren’t lucky enough to attend, here’s a run down of the happenings.

Jeff Burden, a local Charlestonian, lead the annual Autumn Leaves auction festival, which benefits The Bascom, a new visual arts center in Highlands, NC. Taking place over two days, October 2 and 3, hundreds of people joined together for the first night in the resort community of Highlands at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn. Over 200 bidders mingled and nibbled on party treats while enjoying the live and silent auction items.

The second night, The Bascom hosted the event to over 450 people with a bluegrass and barbeque theme. Art demos and a pumpkin sale rounded out the fun. The event raised thousands of dollars for The Bascom, a nonprofit visual arts center that recently completed a six-acre, $13 million campus.CHARLESTON Burden Howard Carlton
