First FR3SH Art Show this Saturday!

Imagine this.

Nine artists are locked into one space for 12 hours to create a minimum of three pieces each and collaborate on works with other artists. 

Well, it’s happening. And it’s almost here! 

This Saturday, August 1 from 5:00 pm to midnight, FR3SH Art will be hosting its first of many shows. The show willPicture 1 include sculptors, realism artists, abstract artists, and spray artists. Together, these different and distinctly unique artists will collaborate to create works beyond their solo capabilities. This experience will help artists to learn from each other and gain knowledge about other methods and techniques.

Directly after the lock-in, an art reception and party will follow at Tin Roof. Marcus Amaker will be performing in the “lounge” area at 9:00 pm and 10:09 pm. Cozy up on the couch and feel his words.

The morning after, FR3SH Art will be conducting interview with the artists. Every half hour from 9:00 am, in alphabetical order:

Art Meet!

A creative meet and greet for artists, collectors, galleries, and creative enthusiasts.”

WALK GALLERY, LLC and Artist Publica are calling all artists, gallery owners, collectors, art appreciators, et al, to come out and meet each other, brainstorm and catch up on upcoming events. Bring your portfolios and make connections, have some dinner, drinks and conversation. It’s all taking place at 6 pm, Tuesday July 28th at the downtown Taco Boy, 217 Huger Street.

The 6:00 p.m. meeting is a forum for those involved and interested in the arts community to meet one another, brainstorm and collaborate on events.

Charleston Art Patrons at the Highlands in NC

CHARLESTON-HughesGail and Tim Hughes, of Charleston, pictured here, and other benefactors of the annual Mountains in Bloom Garden Festival in the resort community of Highlands, North Carolina, celebrated “Joie de Vivre” at a Giverny-themed Patrons Party earlier this month. The Patrons Party, July 11, was just one highlight of a multiple-day event (July 7-11) that also included a tour of seven magnificent mountain gardens, a flower show and photography competition, a home and garden shop, and lectures. Calling All Art and Culinary Lovers!

Join the Carolina Fine Arts Dealers’ Association on July 17 for their annual Palette and Palate Stroll, an evening dedicated to fine art, cuisine, and wine. Attendees will enjoy an “array of breathtaking art, created by nationally and internationally renowned artists at the city’s most prominent galleries, and indulge in fine cuisine prepared by Charleston’s circle of prestigious chefs.”
