bluesphere continues with ‘Favelas’ Thursday at City Gallery

If you have somehow missed the wicked cool art installation in Marion Square, you need to come downtown more or open your eyes.  bluesphere: Earth Art Expo is happening!

Check out our article on it in this Fall’s issue of Art Mag.

This Thursday, Favelas: architecture of survival by Pedro Lobo will open at the City Gallery at Waterfront Park.  It is one of the many things you should be putting on your list to do this week!  Opening reception is from 6 – 8 pm; there will be an artist lecture and walk through on Saturday at 2pm.

Pedro Lobo is a Brazilian-born photographer who, in this work, charts the longest-lived of the world’s squatter settlements, Rio de Janerio’s favelas.

City Gallery at Waterfront Park, 34 Prioleau Street.
